I've developed a user control using a smart part. After I publish the page
1) I click on minimize on the web-part (smart part)
2) I click on a button that does a post back


Then I am getting an error below.
"The file is not checked out. You must first check out this document before making changes."


Any Ideas?

Please go to the document library which hosts your current page (if you are under “publishing” feature enabled site, go to “pages” list). Then click settings-> document library settings-> versioning settings. There, you need to select “no” for “Require documents to be checked out before they can be edited?”. After click OK, try again.
