System Requirements

Windows XP Service Pack 2 without any oracle product
RAM >=1 GB RAM
HD >= 150 GB (vision database)

Pre-Installation

1. Microsoft VC++ http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/visualc/download/ installing uder C:/MSVC

2. Perl - http://www.perl.com Perl is needed if you are using Oracle Media Pack

3. CYGWIN http://cygwin.com/ Choose following package 1) All Default 2) Archive Default, plus zip package 3) Base Default 4) Devel Default, plus binutils, gcc, gcc-core, gcc-g++, make 5) Doc Default 6) Editors Default, plus vim 7) Interpreters Default 8) Shells Default, plus ash and tcsh 9) Utils Default, plus cygutils and file

After cygwin installation completed Open folder C:/cygwin/bin, rename followings rename cc.exe to cc.exe.bak grep.exe to egrep.exe make.exe to gnumake.exe gcc.exe to cc.exe

Set the windows Path environment variable by My Computer properties to include the C:/cygwin/bin;C:/MSVC/VC/bin

4. Domain Name 1) Edit file c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts. Example 192.168.8.88 hostname mydomain.com

2) Go to Control Panel -> Systems -> Computer Name Tab -> Click on Change -> Click on More -> Enter Primary DNS Suffix as ‘mydomain’.

3) Restart the PC.

Staging the Oracle

Unpack all your oracle CD zip file into C:/Stage12

Installing the EBS 12

Go to folder C:/Stage12/startCD/Disk1/rapidwiz

Run rapidwiz.cmd

On welcome screen -> Next and Select

Install Oracle Applications E-Bussiness 12 Check on Use Express Configuration -> Next

In Express Configuration Information screen enter the following:

Database Type = Vision Demo Database Database SID = VIS MKS directory = C:/cygwin/bin MSDEV directory = C:/MSVC Domain = mydomain Oracle Base directory =C:/oracle

In case, If your system don’t pass the post-Installation checks, then restart your PC and Open Command Prompt open to staging directory c:/Stage12/startCD/Disk1/rapidwiz, just run rapidwiz –restart

Post-installation

http://hostname.mydomain:8000/

E-Bussiness Login Username = sysadmin Password = sysadmin
