About The Platinum UPnP

The Platinum UPnP SDK is a cross-platform C++ library that makes it easy to build DLNA Compliant Devices. It compiles and runs on Windows, Mac OSX, Linux, iPhone, Android and more.

Plutinosoft, LLC provides its Platinum UPnP SDK under a dual licensemodel designed to meet the development and distribution needs of bothcommercial distributors (such as OEMs, ISVs and VARs) and open sourceprojects.

For OEMs, ISVs, VARs and Other Distributors of CommercialApplications: OEMs, ISVs, VARs and other distributors that combine anddistribute commercially licensed software with Platinum software and donot wish to distribute the source code for the commercially licensedsoftware under version 2, or (at your option) any later version, of theGNU General Public License (the “GPL”) must enter into a commerciallicense agreement with Plutinosoft, LLC.

For developers of Free Open Source Software (“FOSS”) applicationsunder the GPL that want to combine and distribute those FOSSapplications with Platinum software, Plutinosoft’s Platinum open sourcesoftware licensed under the GPL version 2, or (at your option) anylater version, is the best option.

Note that Platinum SDK links with Neptune C++ Runtime, which is licensed under the terms of the BSD license. This license is compatible with the GNU GPL.
