After 8 years of fantastic work in MEMFIS FE Palani (Palanikumar Nagarathinavelu) is moving as a Scrum Master under Prem Tilak Iyer.Taking over from him is Rakesh (Raghunandanana Rakesh) another stalwart in Investment banking.

 

Palani Joined Citi in Jan 2005 and startedhandling midrange development for sales station. Later joined wealth managementin May 2006 as BAU support lead for MEMFIS application. Even though being inBAU Support, his passion towards technology & Architecture made him toredesign the MEMFIS product which resulted in huge performance improvement.This also helped to reduce the development effort. He has overall 18 years ofexperience.

 

After taking over MFSB-FE, he started replacing thelegacy products like FCSSI with TIBCO based SNF(In-house developed product)which resulted in huge savings in terms of support and license cost.  Hehas taken care of QTP automation for whole wealth management which is beingused in all our GTC versions.

 

Apart from all the above, he is one of the active memberin organizing all WM level events and ensure that everyone enjoys the eventsthat are organized at WM level.

 

Rakesh has overall 15 years of experience in Bankingand Finance. He has been in Citi Investment Team for last 10 years. He hasmanaged various projects and production support from 2004. Part of theInvestment Base Team since EBS205 and part of EBS205, SEA Rainbow, HK Rainbow,GTC, EMEA etc. He Was the MF/SB Design lead for few years before taking overthe Brokerage & Master Maintenance Module as part of the Module basedReorganization.

Hi All,

As most of you know that I was in MEMFIS for about 8yearswhich is one of the longest stay for me in my career.  I would love to tryout new things in my career and this time, yes this is something on my roleWITHINGCT. I am moving into a new role and today is the last day for me in WM.....

 

Before I sign-off from WM....

I would like to THANK CP for his great support. I thank himfor the opportunities he has given to me given during my tenure and moreimportantly for the belief he had on me & my capabilities. THANKS A LOT CP.

 

I would like to THANK all my bosses right from Mohanty,Ratikant, Atul and Mano who has given a free hand to me and supported me on allmy initiatives. I would say I am lucky to have such Managers which is one ofthe main reason for my successful career in WM.

More importantly I would like to THANK Mano for all hisrecognition/appreciation/acceptance till date which is really required for eachand everyone to have a smooth sailing in everyone's role. Thanks a lot Mano.

 

 

Whenever I need any help officially/personally I would getit immediately from all irrespective of the team where I am from. I would liketothank all CP 1-downs for their support and I believe I can get similarsupport irrespective of where I am in .

 

When we say WM, right from the beginning (Tampines days)it's a team with full fun. Even during hard times we (WM) get through smoothlywith the great moral support. I have approached lot ofNON-MEMFIS-FE teammembers (INV-Host, IPP,MLT, CLMS, TCON, CITIPLANNER ,BAU ) for all sorts ofhelp that I need and I would get it without any hesitation. I THANK YOU ALL FORTHE GREAT SUPPORT AND ACCEPTANCE....

 

 

All apart, I am able to do all this only because of thegreat team that I had or where I was in.....

MEMFIS ... the whole team is very close to my heartand this is the team which supported me in all my initiatives.

This is the team with full of positive energy in it andwithout this team I am sure all these things might not be possible for me....

Finally my peer who has travelled with me for the past8yrs... Mr.Ashwin....I believe we should have a peer like him who is supportivealways....I don't remember even a single harsh discussions till date...In thisalso I am lucky....Thank god and  Thanks Ashwin.

 

I pray god that I should work/get a team like this where Iam sure I can do wonders....

If there is one word in the English language that I hate, it is the word "good-bye".

Here I am 14 years later, thinking about the day I joined Citi. I have come a long way. The journey was fulfilling, rewarding, memorable and wonderful. In this journey there were nice people, coaches, mentors, managers, colleagues and friends. Some left in the middle of my journey and many others joined me later. While you all continue your journey, I decided to leave and say “good-bye”.

Whenever I just think of saying good-bye to someone my soul aches, my heart beats fast and I physically need to shake myself out of the feeling. Yet life itself is filled with good-byes. I was surrounded by good-byes this whole week. That's why I felt compelled to share this thought with you right now before I move on. The strange part is that I really didn't say good-bye to anyone. But I watched as others did say “good-bye” to me. Good-byes are not forever. Nor is parting such sweet sorrow.

If I have connected in such a way to another person, then they are a permanent part of me. They do not leave intact, for they have shared with me a bit of themselves which I have willfully absorbed into my being. God's gift to us to compensate for good-byes is "memory”. Please know that I take you with me no matter where I go.

I want to
    be your eyes in this world when you can't see how incredible it really is.
    be your voice whenever you feel frustrated and you just can't explain it.
    be your friend when something great has just happened and you don't think anyone else would understand how truly great it is.
    be that pause in the middle of your week that provides a temporary get-away from your reality.
    serve as your reminder that life is good and you are an incredible gift from God to this world.
