AWS China Region试用的问题列表

在AWS上的使用经验已经有四年了，现在开始亚马逊中国的服务，发现有很多不同。在此记录一下遇到的各种问题和解决方案，与大家共同讨论。

问题1.  sudo: unable to resolve host <NAME>

登录主机使用sudo命令，遇到如下提示：

ubuntu@ip-192-168-0-42:~/micro-deploy$ sudo su

sudo: unable to resolve host ip-192-168-0-42

解决方法：

1. That the /etc/hostname file contains just the name of the machine.

2. That /etc/hosts has an entry for localhost. It should have something like:

    127.0.0.1    localhost.localdomain localhost
    127.0.1.1    my-machine

问题2. 应对GFW

在中国区使用EC2，完全在美国等其它region上那种访问网络不是问题的感觉，首先遇到的就是GFW。

解决方法1：使用代理工具

如果你有美国的服务器，可以自己设置代理，可以使用工具tsocks和proxychains

解决方法2：使用中国区镜像

比如，我安装ruby工具，使用了淘宝镜像，详见淘宝ruby镜像用法。

问题3. 迁移大数据到AWS

当我们准备迁移大数据到AWS的时候，对于数据量比较大的情况下，需要采用一些加速的方法缩短这个迁移的时间，可用方法如下：

解决方法1：使用AWS的import/export服务

最快，详见AWS手册

解决方法2：使用AWS的Storage Gateway

解决方法3：使用传统SCP,RCP

此时注意采用一些优化的方法加速，详见加快SCP传输 

解决方法4：采用专业的UDP网络传输工具

另外，无论使用哪种方法，注意不要试图远距离传输超过1G的大文件，建议使用split或其它工具做二进制拆分，
