Performance improvements
At 10.2.2, the ArcGIS Web Adaptor (IIS) has been optimized. Performance improvements are most notable for non-secured and secured (ArcGIS token-based authentication only) service short transaction requests, such as map tile retrieval. Map tile retrieval over SOAP also has substantial performance improvements. Listing of services in the Services panel of ArcGIS Server Manager and the ArcGIS Server Services Directory has also been improved, particularly in sites that have multiple machines.

在ArcGIS10.2.2版本， ArcGIS Web 适配器 (IIS) 进行了优化。值得注意的就是非安全验证服务和安全验证 (ArcGIS 基于令牌的身份验证) 服务的短事务请求得到优化，如地图切片获取。地图切片获取通过 SOAP 也有显著的性能改进。在 ArcGIS 服务器管理器中服务面板的服务列表和 ArcGIS 服务器服务目录也得到优化，特别是在包含多台机器的站点。




Improved security configuration workflows 
In previous versions, you were required to reconfigure the ArcGIS Web Adaptor after updating the communication protocol of ArcGIS Server. At 10.2.2, this is no longer necessary; the Web Adaptor will recognize the changes to your site after one minute. This improves many security configuration workflows. At 10.2.2, you can use Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) to secure access to your portal when using Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) to authenticate users. Script the administration of your portal
The Portal for ArcGIS help documentation now includes samples that allow you to script common actions using the ArcGIS REST API. For example, invite members, copy items, grant members access to groups, and so on. You can use the ArcGIS REST API with any programming language that supports the use of HTTP requests, such as Python, PHP, Perl, JavaScript, or PowerShell.
