In Oracle 10gEX, it supports HTTP and FTP internet protocal through XDB. So how about configuring XDB http listener to work with Oracle form/report 6i? I tried it successfully before solving following issues:

1. virtual directory like forms60java to hold f60all_jinit.jar etc

java\oracle\forms\registry\Registry.dat is also needed.

 

2. ftp access control in XDB and upload jar files into xdm repository.

 

3. include jinit class section in html code of a APEX page

 

4. include fmx path into forms60_path registry and restart form service.
