Huaiqing Wang的讲座：How to write and publish quality research papers

讲座感受：

1.研究要找个小的领域，不要范围过大。（论文的题目也如此）

2.多读优秀Paper，可以就人家不足的地方做改进。即使比人家提高了1%的性能，也是可取的。

3.开发也能写出优秀的论文。总结开发中遇到的问题，提出新的解决方案。

4.顶级杂志需要有理论证明。他让他的学生在一篇文章中提了两个定理，然后论证了一下，虽然看上去有点画蛇添足，但确实能提高接受率。

5.数学对于高质量论文很重要

6.1/3,2/3法则。审稿人用1/3的时间决定是accept还是reject，另外2/3的时间是在文章中找支持他观点的证据。所以，一个好的Introduction很重要。一个好的Introduction是成功的一半。

7.一定要有Evaluation，为什么你做的东西好

8.对于引用的文章，不要恶意批评，可以适当恭维，因为你的审稿人很可能是你引用文章的作者。

Prof.Huaiqing Wang 的简历如下：

Huaiqing Wang is a Professor at the Department of Information Systems,City University of HK. He is also the Honorary Dean and a Guest Professor of the School of Information Engineering, Wuhan University of Technology, China. He received his PhD in Computer Science from University of Manchester, UK, in 1987.

Dr. Wang specializes in research and development of business intelligence systems, intelligent agents and their applications (such as multi-agent supported financial information systems, virtual learning systems, knowledge management systems, conceptual modeling and ontology).

He has published more than 40 international refereed journal articles, including Communications of the ACM, Artificial Intelligence, IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, IEEE Transactions on Robotics and Automation, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, IEEE Computer, IEEE Expert,  IEEE Software, Decision Support Systems, and Information & Management, etc.
