Classified Introduction of Screening Equipments

Screening machinery is one of the necessary auxiliary equipments in sand making production line, which plays a very important role in the whole production line, based on the structure and working principle , the screening equipments can be divided into the following categories:

(1) Fixed Screen:
Working part is fixed , the materials are divided by their sliding along the working surface. Fixed grid screen is a general application that many concentrators adopt, which is used for the pre-screening before the medium and fine crushing.It is simple in structure,  manufacture convenient . Does not consume power ,we can directly unload the ore on the screen surface. The main disadvantage is the low productivity, low screening efficiency, which is generally only 50-60%.

(2) plane motion sieve:
The body is a plane wobble or vibration. According to its Plane motion trajectory ,it is divided into linear motion, circular motion, elliptical motion and complex motion. Shaking screen and vibrating screen fall into this category.

(3) Cylinder Screen:
The working portion is the cylindrical shape, the entire sieve rotates around the axis of rotation , in the general case, the axis forms a small angle. the materials are fed from one end of the cylinder, the finer level adopted by the material from the cylindrical working surface of the sieve, coarse-grained material is discharged from the other end of the cylinder. The rotational speed of the cylindrical screen is very low, works reliable, the power balance is good. But the sieve is easy to plug, screening efficiency is low, and the work area is small, the productivity is low. The concentrator rarely adopt it as the screening equipment.

(4) Roller Screen:
Its working face is constituted by the   rolling shafts which   arranged horizontally , the bulk materials are driven to the other end by the rolling shaft , finally were discharged from the end. The concentrator rarely use this sieve.

(5) shaking screen:
Crank linkage is transmission components. Motor drives the eccentric shaft rotation via a belt and pulley , the body through the connecting rod make the machine do reciprocating movement along a certain direction.  The disadvantage is that the driving force is poorly balanced. Concentrator rarely use it, because it is replaced by the vibrating screen whose structure is more reasonable . The screening equipments which are widely use in the concentrators can be divided into the following categories: eccentric vibrating screen, Vibrating Screen, self-centering vibrating screen, resonance screen, and so on.
