Symptom
Symptom 1:
You are using MS Excel 2013 and Microsoft Windows 8 and therefore, want to know the support of SAP BEx Analyzer.
Symptom 2:
You wanted to know the support of Office 365 with SAP BEx Analyzer.
Symptom 3:
You wanted to know the support of 64 bit version of Excel 2013 with BEx Analyzer.

Resolution
Solution for Symptom 1:
l For SAP GUI 7.20
¡ BEx Analyzer 3.x: As SAP GUI 7.20 and BEx Analyzer 3.x is out of standard support maintenance since April 2013 as per SAP Note
1322923 and 1410878 respectively so MS Excel 2013 has not been tested with it. Thus MS Excel 2013 is not supported on BEx
Analyzer 3.x. Moreover BEx Analyzer 3.x is also not supported on Microsoft Windows 8.
¡ BEx Analyzer 7.x: MS Excel 2013 is supported as of Frontend Patch 1000.
l For SAP GUI 7.30
¡ BEx Analyzer 7.x: MS Excel 2013 and Microsoft Windows 8 is supported as of Frontend Patch 300.
Solution for Symptom 2:
l Business Explorer (BEx) requires an installed version of Excel on the client host. Therefore the Microsoft Office 365 Online license with the
browser-based version of Excel is not enough when BEx is used. If your Office 365 license, however, includes Office 365 ProPlus as well, the
situation is different as a complete installation of Office (including Excel) on your client hosts is also covered (either as a native installation
using .msi or as download and installation using “Click2Run” technology).
As a consequence you can use BEx with Microsoft Office 365 if BEx is released for the versions of Office which is used on the host.

Solution for Symptom 3:
l Office 64 bit versions are NOT supported for BEx tools for the moment and currently, there is no prediction to release such tool. This is
already documented in Note 1425805.
