Brief Description
Responsible for developing, applying and maintaining quality standards for company products with adherence to both internal and external standards. Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results. Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions.
Detailed Description
As a member of the technical/process QA division, you will design, install and evaluate quality control methods and systems. Design continuing maintenance of product quality. Develop standards and procedures to provide quality guidance and methods.
Job Requirements
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. A of 1 year of software engineering or related experience.


Additional Details


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Understand feature specifications and create test suites for all product components focusing on business support systems.
2. Execute functional testing, regression testing, and automated testing for the current systems as well as the new suite of systems in development.
3. Log, manage, and retest defects in bug tracking system
4. Setup testing environments for all supported platforms ( Windows, Linux, Solaris)
5. Experience testing in an agile, fast-paced engineering environment.
6. Coordinate with teammates and other teams in resolving issues.


RELEVANT EXPERIENCE and TRAINING
1. Possess B.S. or M.S. degree in a field relevant to functional area
2. 3 years of web-based software quality assurance testing in a Java environment
3. Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and methodology
4. Experience developing automated test harnesses and test cases.
5. Basic programming skills in Internet technologies (e.g.: Java, XML, etc.).
6. Experience in Bug Tracking tools such as Bugzilla or JIRA
7. Experience in Test Management Tools (e.g.: TestDirector, QualityCenter, TestLink).
8. Experience in CRM type of Application is huge plus
9. Experience working with Apache Tomcat and WebLogic application servers.
10. Experience testing Analytics type of Application us a plus
11. Strong attention to detail, self-starter, self-motivated, and proactive.
12. Strong written and verbal communication skills; works effectively independently and in teams
13. Experience developing automated tests, preferably in Selenium
