About installing Ubuntu with Windows in existence.
The most ideal way is to install it by DVD. Secondly we can install it by USB.
If neither method work, we have to install it in Windows, using wubi. Wubi will download Ubuntu iso itself, which will be the current version. No choice. The system might be chosen to be in Chinese by default to support character set automatically.
To build Android 2.3.4.
- install packages described in source.android.com/source/initializing.html
sudo add-apt-repository "deb http://archive.canonical.com/ lucid partner"
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jdk
sudo apt-get install git-core gnupg flex bison gperf build-essential zip curl sun-java5-jdk zlib1g-dev gcc-multilib g++-multilib libc6-dev-i386 lib32ncurses5-dev ia32-libs x11proto-core-dev libx11-dev lib32readline5-dev lib32z-dev
the command above should prompt two packages to be changed. do it as asked. - install older version of gcc & g++.
sudo apt-get install gcc-4.4
sudo apt-get install g++-4.4
sudo apt-get install g++-4.4-multilib - configure different versions of gcc & g++. use following line to see what versions installed, such as gcc
ls /usr/bin/gcc* -l
use following commands to add different versions, such as gcc
sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/gcc gcc /usr/bin/gcc-4.4 40
sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/gcc gcc /usr/bin/gcc-4.6 60
choose to use old version, such as gcc
sudo update-alternatives --config gcc
