I summed up three reasons

1. 2017 cryptocurrency performance is too crazy (the most important reason)!

Ripple rises several hundred times, eth rises several hundred times, and iota rises thousands of times. A variety of currencies appeared, Macron, a currency known as the French President Emmanuel Macron. I feel particularly absurd, but people just want to believe these ridiculous things. Many currency types don't get airdrops. A market value of a few billion dollars, a few ten billion, easily defeated a listed company operating for more than 10 years!

 

2. The impact of national regulatory policies.

Digital currencies, especially decentralized payment currencies with value-delivery functions such as Bitcoin and Litecoin, are particularly vulnerable to financial regulation. In addition, the market is too confusing and the crazy ico easily involves illegal fundraising. National governments must strictly monitor digital currencies.

 

3. Less new investors have joined.

Strict supervision led to fewer new players, lack of dynamism on the floor, and caution from off-site investors. Then the funds in the field fled and a vicious circle formed.

 

The cryptocurrency price trend in 2018 is beyond my imagination. After entering January, the market price began to plummet. At present, most of the currencies have lost more than 50%, and even almost zero coins, such as sjwcoin and t-coin. The market has entered a brutal bear market.

Neither the creators of the cryptocurrency nor the newcomers who have just contacted the cryptocurrency can accept this situation. As the media continues to increase the exposure of digital currencies and the continuous introduction of policies, I understand that the capital markets are similar. Once the focus is over concentrated, the market will easily collapse.
