使用Xmanager访问Red Hat Enterprise Linux

系统环境：
服务器：Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nahant Update 8) / Xmanager服务端程序已安装
客户端：windows xp / 需下载客户端程序xmgr30.exe

确认Linux版本
[root@localhost ~]# su - root
[root@localhost ~]# cat /etc/redhat-release
Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nahant Update 8)

内核版本
[root@localhost ~]# uname -r
[root@localhost ~]# cat /proc/version
2.6.9-89.ELsmp

启动linux的窗口界面：
startx

X manager 的配置

1.修改GDM的配置文件

vi /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf

将[xdmcp]中的enable选项设置为true

用vi编辑gdm.conf 进入后键入/xdmcp查找字符串xdmcp "n"是搜索下一句，这样就能快速的定位到xdmcp项

2.修改/etc/X11/xdm/xdm-config文件

vi /etc/X11/xdm/xdm-config

将DisplayManager.requestPort: 0注释掉(在前面加!)

! SECURITY: do not listen for XDMCP or Chooser requests
! Comment out this line if you want to manage X terminals with xdm
!DisplayManager.requestPort: 0

3.修改/etc/X11/xdm/Xaccess文件 #* #any host can get a login window 去掉此行首位的#

vi /etc/X11/xdm/Xaccess

4. 如果有防火墙，请打开177的端口

Xbrowser的用法：
运行 C:\Program Files\NetSarang\Xmanager Enterprise 3\Xbrowser.exe

Xmanager项：可以进入窗口界面
New--Xstart Session--General
Session   取个名字
Host      主机IP
Protocol  选SSH
Execution Command  选GNOME为窗口界面，选xterm为字符界面
--X Server--Server Profile--选XDMCP sample为窗口界面，选Xstart sample窗口分为头，尾，桌面三部分
在右下角右键close Xmanager, 或在右上角点叉可以直接关闭窗口界面
配置完后用X manager进入吧, 熟悉的窗口画面出现了

Xshell项：可以进入字符模式
外观设置：右键，Properties，Appearance，Font Size（字体大小，选12或14号字）

Xftp项：可以连接FTP
右键，Properties，Options，Transfer，Use passive mode，选中Binary（二进制格式，否则传输的exe等文件可能无法运行）
