Solution

The command required to compile a form. in release 12 depends on whether or not you are using forms Customizations

Why compile forms with compile_all=special? - Note 444248.1 Using the OracleAS 10.1.2 Forms and Reports Builders with Oracle Applications Release 12

Follow the instructions below to compile your form(s) in Release 12

1:- Log into the forms tier.
2:- Set the applications environment
3:- Ensure that the $FORMS_PATH includes $AU_TOP/resource, $AU_TOP/resource/stub, and $AU_TOP/forms/US for example

echo $FORMS_PATH

/d01/oracle/REL12/apps/apps_st/appl/au/12.0.0/resource:/d01/oracle/REL12/apps/apps_st/appl/au/12.0.0/resource/stub:/d01/oracle/REL12/apps/apps_st/appl/au/12.0.0/forms/US

4:- Compile the form

a:- If you are using forms customizations (CUSTOM.pll) then run the command below to compile the form.

frmcmp_batch.sh module= userid=APPS/APPS output_file= module_type=form. compile_all=special

For example..

frmcmp_batch.sh module=/d01/oracle/PROD/apps/apps_st/appl/au/12.0.0/forms/US/PERWSEMA.fmb userid=APPS/APPS output_file=/d01/oracle/PROD/apps/apps_st/appl/per/12.0.0/forms/US/PERWSEMA.fmx module_type=form. compile_all=special

b:- If you are NOT using forms customizations, then run the command below to compile the form.

frmcmp_batch.sh module= userid=APPS/APPS output_file= module_type=form

For example..

frmcmp_batch.sh module=/d01/oracle/PROD/apps/apps_st/appl/au/12.0.0/forms/US/PERWSEMA.fmb userid=APPS/APPS output_file=/d01/oracle/PROD/apps/apps_st/appl/per/12.0.0/forms/US/PERWSEMA.fmx module_type=form
