Duplicate Alias Error When Deploying Planning Application From Epma 11.1.2 (Doc ID 1319989.1)

Symptoms
Get Error:

com.hyperion.planning.olap.HspVerifyOutlineException: Verify Outline failed with the following errors:
Error [100000100] detected in member “Jan”: Duplicate alias
Error [100000100] detected in member “Feb”: Duplicate alias
Error [100000100] detected in member “Mar”: Duplicate alias
Error [100000100] detected in member “Apr”: Duplicate alias

This could happen with other members too.

Cause

This issue is caused if using Arabic or any non-unicode languages to add alias to the members while the Essbase was created without unicode option.

If you open the outline from the Essbase, you will see the alias ?????

Solution

1. Delete the application from the Essbase using EAS console.
2. Create a new application with the same name and select uni-code.
3. Go to Planning web and run Create Database to recreate the outlines to the Essbase
