Symptoms

Two ORA-1031 Reported in Lns/Arch Trace File of Primary in Dataguard Configuration

++ Redo transport is working fine.

++ While After restart of primary, two ORA-1031 are reported in LNS/ARCH trace files:

Cause

The errors being reported in the trace files are benign as Oracle always try the "new authentication" schemes (wallet based approach) first, and then the old authentication schemes (password-file based) for backwards compatibility.

Since there is no wallet based setup, the errors are coming because of that.

Solution

Since log shipping is progressing correctly, there is no issue with the Password-file based approach, and so really there is no issue here.
