symptom: RMAN-03008: error while performing automatic resync of recovery
catalog
cause: RMAN Cannot connect to target database via MTS. When using RMAN, use
dedicated connections to connect to the target database.

fix:

Create a new TNS alias with SERVER=DEDICATED in the TNSNAMES.ORA file and use
this alias to connect to the target database.
