Ubuntu 6.06 升级到 6.10 宽屏分辨率的问题(转)[@more@]我的本本是Acer 2403，Inter 915的主板，显卡应该是集成的。
这是系统检测到的"Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller"

从Ubuntu 6.06升级到 6.10后，我的宽屏分辨率就只能使用1024*768，没法用到标准的1280*800，

于是我sudo /etc/init.d/gdm stop 先關掉 X

#执行完上面这部，系统会退回到console，此时没有提示符（# or $），只有个关标闪来闪去

然後 sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg 一路"确定"，采用默认配置。
完成後再 sudo /etc/init.d/gdm start

分辨率终于正常了。

可是问题来了，每次重启系统后，就又恢复到1024*768了，而xorg.conf文件始终都是那一个！
我只有X图形下，执行/etc/init.d/gdm stop，进入console。
选择tty1 （Alt + F1）后，启动X(/etc/init.d/gdm start)，此时宽屏分辨率显示正常(1280*800)

3. Write the mode number and resolution which you want to use to
/etc/default/915resolution. For example:

MODE=auto
XRESO=1280
YRESO=800

# optional setting
BIT=24

4. Reboot or run "/etc/init.d/915resolution start" by hand.

5. To use specified resolution, you need to modify your X configuration
file (If you use Xorg, it's /etc/X11/xorg.conf)

6. 在/etc/inittab中加入：
