本文简单阐述在Linux AS 4中如何不用启动界面的情况下安装oracle 10g软件、创建数据库以及升级数据库，这就是oracle的静默安装。

三、升级数据库
1、升级数据库软件
1）把下载的补丁集解压，修改/oradata/soft/Disk1/response/patchset.rsp
把如下值修改为你实际的值：
UNIX_GROUP_NAME="oinstall"
FROM_LOCATION="/oradata/soft/Disk1/stage/products.xml"
ORACLE_HOME="/opt/oracle/product/10.2"
RESTART_SYSTEM=false
OUI_HOSTNAME="tdata"

REMOVE_HOMES={}

2）关闭数据库和监听
[oracle@tdata Disk1]$ sqlplus "/as sysdba"

3）升级软件
[oracle@tdata Disk1]$ ./runInstaller -silent -responseFile /oradata/soft/Disk1/response/patchset.rsp

以root运行/opt/oracle/product/10.2/root.sh

4）升级数据库
升级数据库必须先把数据库以upgrade模式打开：

--升级数据库
-dbname: 要升级的数据库的db_name
-oracleHome: 要升级的数据库的ORACLE_HOME
-sysDBAUserName: 要升级数据库的拥有sysdba权限的用户名，一般写sys
-sysDBAPassword: sysDBAUserName对应的密码
-recompile_invalid_objects: 升级完成后是否编译无效对象，true为编译、false为不编译
