The share of the business possess by STAR is 26% in this combined business enterprise although the Ananda Bazar Patrika group possesses 74% in this combined business enterprise.

After their parting ways, the Media Content and Communications (MCCS) corporation, that possessed and operated the news channels, said that Star News which is a Hindi news channel would be label with new name ABP News, Star Ananda which is a Bengali news channel would become ABP Ananda and Star Majha which is the Marathi news channel would be known as ABP Majha. ABP Sanjha which is a Punjabi language version of the news channel introduced in 2014 is well-liked with northern Punjabi audiences. On 1 January 2016, a Gujarati language version called ABP Asmita was introduced.
