Ø'Reilly has a great in-depth article on the functional interface in Java 8. Here's a quick cheat sheet to keep track of the main types, what they do and common use cases.

Predicate

一种谓语返回true或false。 这些用于过滤器或替换if / else逻辑的大型链。

Function

一种功能转换数据。 这些用于地图和其他转换。 重要的是不要更改传入的原始数据。

Supplier

一种供应商 takes no arguments and returns a value of a known type. Fetching, reading or creating resources to be used by other functions are common use cases. 供应商s get things started.

Consumer

一种消费者 accepts a single argument, but does not return any results. 消费者s are where mutating functions, things with side-effects, should go. 消费者s finish things.
