How can you tell if you have an antique Tiffany lamp?

We have an old hanging lamp that were told was an old Tiffany lamp we want to be sure.

There are tons of knock offs out there. Bite the bullet and get a pro in to look at it.

If he offers to buy it, you have something. Until you get another opinion, keep it.

You can always look for signatures, shade number, etc., but these are often forgeries.

If I had one, I'd get to the nearest library and take out all the books I could find on Tiffany, and there are plenty!
