jboss server unable to start within 50 seconds. how to increase the jboss server start time.
by manohar bhattarai
hi
i got this error in eclipse when i tried to start the jboss server.
server jboss v5.0 at localhost was unable to start within 50 seconds. if the server requires more time, try increasing the timeout in the server editor.
due to this error i usually had to start server manually from terminal using command:- sh run.sh.
i tried to figure out how to increase the time above 50. i went through each and every option in eclipse in quest to find an option where i can increase the server start time. but in vain.
then i found a secret. and was able to find where to increase the time.
for increasing the server start time:-
1.click the servers tab. its located at the lower area of eclipse workarea. just beside properties tab or near the console tab.
2.then double click the server which you are trying to start. it will open a dialog box. expand the “timeouts”. there you can find the option to increase the server start time. i made it 180 seconds.
now, i need not start the server manually using terminal everytime i start eclipse.
thanks c danus.
try double clicking and you may find a hidden treasure there.
it helped me and hope it will help you too.
regards,
