The links have changed: (I put a rewrite in place)
http://www.yui-ext.com/deploy/ext-1.0-alpha3.zip
http://www.yui-ext.com/deploy/ext-1.0-alpha3/docs/
There are couple basic ComboBox/AutoComplete examples (click on docs link above) and a live forum search example.
http://www.yui-ext.com/deploy/ext-1....um-search.html
The ComboBox has A LOT of configuration options, all defined at the top of the class. I will get these documented soon.
Here's a list of some other new stuff/bug fixes/changes in this build:
Element Fx:
- Now supports useDisplay config option for fx that hide the element after an effect. When set to true the element will be hidden using display:none instead of visibility:hidden.
- New "afterStyle" config option that can be a string, object (e.g. {background:'#fff'}) or a function that returns a string or object of css properties to apply to the element after the Fx completes.
- Safari broken drag drop fixed
- Too much recursion with multiple dialogs fixed
- reload() on tree with hidden root node fixed
- tree key nav on expanded (but no children) nodes fixed
-x-grid-row-dirty css class changed to x-grid-dirty-row for consistency with x-grid-dirty-cell
- EditorGrid events got completely rewritten and are much more powerful (including new "validateedit" event).
- Grid auto expand column option
- Ext.data.SimpleStore for easy array store creation (see combo example)
- Form elements now support msgTarget config option. The msgTarget tells how validation errors should be displayed. Supported values are "qtip" (the default), title (html title attribute), "under" put the message under the field (only supported by fields in an ext form layout) or any element id to display the error in.
- Form field config option "target" introduced in the last build was causing issues on complex fields (construction order issue) and the logic was refactored to a new function field.applyTo(element) (see the combo and forms examples).
- New extremely raw form CSS (see the UNFINISHED example in the "forms" directory)
- Element has new child/sibling insertion/creation functions (insertFirst and insertSibling). They are pretty flexible
- Experimental prototype/scriptaculous support was added. It works pretty decent in preliminary testing.
Special thanks to Simeon who sent me a great test file for two bugs that were very hard to track.

There's not much that can go wrong with that code.

I found the problem. It's a big bug in DomQuery. Rev 2 will be up momentarily.

How cool is that autocomplete/combo? 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
40 lines of code for a live search with a scrolling view and paging???? The foundation of Ext.data.Store is paying off already! |

I agree Animal. I love the new Store. It can be a bit verbose to create sometimes, but with more helper classes like SimpleStore, creating one could be as easy as the old data models (with more power though!).
