Finding a lost dSYM

Sometimes we just can't seem to find the correct dSYM anywhere. Not to worry, we've created the short video below on how to find those lost dSYMs that are missing from the Crittercism Portal for your app (see video below). Just in case you have trouble seeing the video (making it Full Screen and making sure it's HD helps), here are the steps starting at the unsymbolicated Crash Report you want to symbolicate:

1. Click on "No dSYM Found"
2. Copy the UUID string found in the text field to your clipboard
3. Open Terminal app
4. Type command: mdfind <paste UUID>
5. Hit Enter
6. Go to the path found, either in Finder/Terminal
7. Archive the .dSYM (zip it up!)
8. Upload to Crittercism via API or Web Portal

Make sure that you're doing this on the machine that built your application as it is likely not on another machine, unless you move/copy your dSYMs elsewhere. In case you've forgotten (or didn't know), you can find the page to Upload dSYMs under your App Settings tab on the left hand side of your App Portal.
