Dear AvaxHome.ru uploaders,
Yesterday sadly I had to remove around 400 e-books links from my online library at http://wesamelshamy.googlepages.com/links.htm because they are deleted from rapidshare.de due to the complains recieved and I've noticed some common things among the deleted books which I think made them being noticed and removed easily:
1- Almost all the files had the name of the publisher on the shared link
(for example: http://rapidshare.de/files/123456/APress_.......htm)
this makes it easier for book publishers who make the complains to spot our books. I've noticed too that every publisher is only concerned about their books, so you may browse a library where only Academic Press, Adisson Wislley or Springer books been delete due to complains but all the other books from other publishers are still available.
2- Almost all the deleted files are shared on rapidshare.de, so we may try www.oxyshare.com as they may be more tolerant (or worse, I'm not sure yet), but don't add the files to the OxyCatalogue, they can be noticed and reported for abuse easily.
3- If you are sharing a big file on multible volumes, don't upload all the volumes on a single files host, for example upload 3 volumes on Oxyshare.com and 2 volumes on rapidshare.de and 3 on ....., It will not require any additional effort neither for uploaders nor for downloaders but by donig so we make the job of books publishers who make the complains harder. They have to track every single book on many file hosts and even then the file hosts will have a hard job of downloading the rest of the volumes from the other file hosts to make sure it violates their rules before they delete our files (they will not delete any file unless they are sure it violates their rules)
4- Compress the files and make a meaningless names for them and add a password with the names of files encrypted (may be using Winrar). By doing this, file hosts can't search for or underdand the contents of our files (our files names are meaningless), and if they recieved complains it makes a harder job for them to uncompress the files (because of the password) or to see the original uncompressed files names (because it is encrypted)
5- Keep a copy of the files you upload and don't rely on the online copy, so in case the files are deleted you can upload them again.
6- Share your experience with others by posting news like this one to help others keep the stream of knolwedge flowing (Keep the books available to every one for free)
You can visit my online library (1200+ ebooks) which I'm striving to keep it alive at:

I'm working on re-uploading my lost ebooks again according to my previous advice, so my full collection of Scientific American magazine issues bak to 1993 will be back very soon (and for a longer period hopefully).
