Symptoms
When Running the Siebel Server Configurator, It Fails Showing the Error: "SBL-SCM-00018: Could not open connection to Siebel Gateway configuration store"
Cause
There is an error with the DB parameters during the Gateway and Enterprise configuration.
The configurator cannot locate a login (because it cannot reach the DB), so the Server configurator fails to start
Solution
Steps to solve the issue:
- Run the Gateway configurator
- Delete the Enterprise configuration
- Run the Gateway configuration again
- Delete the Gateway server
- Create a new Gateway server, checking that the DB server and hostname are correct
- Create a new Enterprise, checking that the DB server and hostname are correct.
- Run the Siebel server configurator
