Symptom
- Can not view the list of SAP servers from SAP GUI in Crystal Reports.
- Create new standard report use connectivity for SAP and no available SAP system can be found in Crystal Reports.
Environment
- Windows XP
- Crystal Reports 2008
- BusinessObjects XI Integration for SAP Solutions Installation XI3.0
- SAP GUI 7.10
Reproducing the Issue
- Create a SAP system item with some Chinese characters in SAP GUI.
2. Run Crystal Reports 2008.
3. Create a standard report.
4. Select a SAP connectivity in create wizard.
5. Prompt a blank logon window.
Resolution
- Open SAP GUI.
- Modify the SAP system item which has Chinese character.
- Delete Chinese character.
- Save this item.
- Open Crystal Reports 2008.
- Create a standard report use connectivity for SAP.
- SAP servers list can be showed in the prompt window.
