I just ran into this today; that is the cms not coming up and throwing the parser error. SAP fixed the problem. Here are the steps:
Attempted to log in to BI Launchpad / CMC after reboot of virtual machine. User sees error message that server is not found or down.
Launched CCM and selected SIA --> Properties --> Configuration. User sees error message Failed to retrieve cluster name from the dat
abase.
Reason: Parser failed to initialize...
Resolution:
- Observed that, we were not able to change the CMS database name from CCM.
- Tried to Recreate SIA, however it was not letting us to go through after entering dabase name and password.
- Only a small window without any error was popping up.
- Checked the trace and found error in CMS.log and SVCMgr.logs as:
\sqlruleClasses.cpp:294). (false : jsqlprs::findDFA_LLR(): Cannot find sqlrule.llr and sqlrule.dfa. Please check your Business Objec
ts executable directories. Alternatively, you can set the SQLRULEDIRECTORY system environment variable.).
- Searched for the two files : sqlrule.llr and sqlrule.dfa and found in the following directory:
C:\Program Files\SAP Business Objects\InstallData\InstallCache\platform. services.cms.cpp.dbcheck-4.0-core-64\14.0.2.364
- Copied and pasted both the files to..
.\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win64_x64 folder
- Started SIA and all the services came fine.
