It isknown that no empirical study is perfect. The present study is in no exception.Due to the limitation of the conditions and the author’s theoretical andacademic knowledge, there are some weaknesses in the study, which can beimproved in the future.
Firstly, the scope of the subjects is only 70 students, which is relatively a smallrange. And all participators are in the different classes of the same grade inthe same school. Therefore, the results of the study may not be universal. Infact, the number of the participants could be bigger.
Secondly, the time of the teaching experiment lasts only three months and it is short tocarry out the game teaching in the real teaching. We know that learning alanguage needs a long time, effective ways of English learning cannot be foundwithin a short time. The time is limited, the results of the experiment may notbe persuasive.
Thirdly,to some extent, the analysis and results of the questionnaire and interview arealso limited, because the author does not know how to deal with statisticsscientifically and correctly. If we can analyze and explain from more aspects, the whole results will be improved.
Fourthly, on the basis of sometheories of second language acquisition, the design of the experiment, choosingof the questions, and the application of the game teaching is establishedthoroughly by the writer. Thus, the subjectivity is inevitable.
