疑问代词who和whom的用法

1、who 和 whom 只用作主语、宾语和表语，不用作定语。其中who为主格，用作主语，whom为宾格，用作宾格，但whom位于句首时可以用who代替。
Who is that woman?
那个女的是谁？
I wonder who that letter was from.
我不知道是谁来的信。
Who are you phoning?
你在给谁打电话？
Who's the money for?
这是给谁的钱？
There should be someone to whom you can turn for any advice or to clear up any problems 
应该有个你可以事事请教或帮助你解决一切难题的人。
The people who called yesterday want to buy the house.
昨天打电话来的人想买这座房子。
The people (who) we met in France have sent us a card.
我们在法国结识的人给我们寄来了一张贺卡。
Whom did they invite?
他们邀请谁了？
The author whom you criticized in your review has written a reply.
你在评论中批评的那位作者已经回信答复了。
He asked me with whom I had discussed it.
他问我和谁讨论过此事。
2、若是紧跟在介词之后用作宾语，则只能用 whom。
To whom should I write?
我应该把信写给谁？
From whom shall I get comfort? 
我从谁那儿能得到安慰呢？
To whom should I address the letter?
这封信我该写给谁呢？
3、在英语口语中，疑问词用who，将介词置于句末更自然。
Who should I address the letter to?
这封信我该写给谁呢？
He asked me who I had discussed it with.
他问我和谁讨论过此事。
4、在限定性关系从句中，宾格代词whom不常用，可用who或that或干脆省去代词 。
The family (who/that/whom) I met at the airport were very kind.
我在机场接的这家人非常友好。
5、在非限定性关系从句中，要用who或更正式的whom（但不能用that），而且此代词不能省略。
Our doctor, who/whom we all liked very much, retired last week.
我们大家非常爱戴的医生上周退休了。
