Indexes
All frequently executed database accesses on large tables (selects, updates and deletes) must be supported by indexes.
In the SAP system, every table has a primary index correspondingto the table key . Secondary indexes must be created if needed.
A highly modified table should not have too many indexes. The more columns an index has, the higher the chance that an update will affect one of the indexed columns.
Columns frequently specified with EQ should be at the beginning of the index.
