the understand of SOA and Web Services

what is the concept of the SOA and Web Services? the SOA is the abbreviation of the Service oriented aspect , it is the software design principle and architectural pattern  for implementing reusable ,loosely coupled ,and coarse grain services, you can use it with multiple protocols ,such as HTTP ,HTTPS, SMTP  , JMS ,RMI , RPC . messages can be XML , JSON ,RSS etc format

Web Service is the implementation technology and one of  the ways to implement SOA , it usually consists three protocols ,UDDI , SOAP, WSDL

it exposes  application functions as interfaces to public . for sure ,you can use enforce SOA without Web Services ,you can use others protocols, like HTTP etc
