A guide to learning any topic faster than 95% of people:
Richard Feynman was a physician who won the Nobel Prize in 1965. But he became known for his great lectures. Why? He was able to explain complex concepts in simple terms with these 4 steps:
1 • Explain
Grab a pen and paper.
Then write down everything you know about one topic
• explain every word
• restructure each thought
• use the simplest words you find
Make it as understandable as you possibly can.
2 • Identify
Now go over those words again. Find gaps in your own understanding.
• where do these words sound complex?
• where is blank space on the page?
Be honest with yourself.
3 • Research
Go back to the material and try to close each gap.
Each word should now be more precise and simple.
And all blank spaces should be written out with words.
4 • Refine
Now use your understanding to
• evaluate everything you've written
• replace the topics with greater ones
Refine everything and see how your concepts evolve.
• How to learn faster than 95% of people
1 • Explain a concept in simple words
2 • Identify the gaps in your understanding
3 • Research the material you are lacking
4 • Refine each concept, then move on to greater ones
