Srikanth Thokala 在2014年1月22日为Xilinx AXI Video Direct Memory Access Engine提交了一个patch，该patch提供了双维度、独立、异步的读写通道，大幅度提升了读写的带宽。

Levente Kurusa 当天为代码做了批注，我们借他的批注来学习一下。

if (err) {
 dev_err(...);
 return err;
}
That way we can avoid the else clause.
