Sum of Two Integers

LeetCode No.371

Calculate the sum of two integers a and b, but you are not allowed to use the operator + and -.

Example:

Given a = 1 and b = 2, return 3.

这道题目一拿到便想到用位运算，因为加法在计算机上的本质也就是位运算。但是不知道怎么下手。看了http://www.geeksforgeeks.org/add-two-numbers-without-using-arithmetic-operators/，才明白解题的思路。

两数相加，可以通过&得到进位信息carry，可以通过^得到和的信息sum。

比如8（1000）加11（1011）

1000&1011 = 1000，说明第四位向前进1；

1000^1011 = 0011，得到的是不带进位信息的和。

将carry左移一位得到10000“ 加”到sum（0011）上就得到完整的和19（10011）。

但是这里的加，其实又是重复以上步骤。直到没有进位为止。

int getSum(int a, int b){

int carry = 0;

//循环直到没有进位为止

while(b){

carry = a&b; //进位信息

a = a^b; //和的信息

b = carry<<1; //进位左移一位

}

return a;

}
