Hello, everyone. I’m Hongyang Liu from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. It’s my great pleasure to share our work with all of you. My topic is a secure and practical blockchain scheme for IoT.

I will introduce the topic according to this roadmap. OK，let’s begin our topic.

With the development of technology, the network structure has changed a lot. In the past, main frame is the main network structure. But nowadays, the cloud becomes the main network. Many people regards Internet of things as the next generation network structure, which means all the embedded devices can communicate with each other directly. But some problems still remain in IoT before it can be applied in a large scale.

Blockchain may be one of the solutions. Blockchain is a chain of block. Each block contains many transactions. Every full node in blockchain network can generate a new block and can verify any blocks. Each block will contain the hash value of the previous block.

The attempt to use blockchain technology to solve problems in IoT application scenario give rise to a new research filed, called Blockchain Internet of Things, or shortly, BIoT. It owns wide application scenario. If developed enough, it may change our lifestyle.
