当年我了解到FreeBSD的源代码被LINUX剽窃一事后,给FreeBSD 内核开发者Søren Schmidt去了一封信,并且收到了他的回信,以下是回信内容,证实了LINUX的剽窃行为。

Hi !
Yes its true, they copied the Promise and Highpoint metadata structures with comments and all, they just ripped off the copyright headers.
I got pretty miffed about it as I spent several hours doing that work so... It eventually was sortof settled so they acknowledged the origins of the code in some of their files.

Not really, I dont normally read the Linux kernel code, unless someone points me to things like the above.
I belive in writing code myself from specs is way better and more fun than copying others work :)

Don't try to reflect this onto Microsoft. Clearly the Linux developers fucked up here.
