Hi,
I have a "Red Hat Developer Subscription" and just purchased an " Extended Update Support" subscription. I've attached the subscription to my system but it seems I don't get the latest packages. I've already tried re-subscribing but that doesn't help:
E.g. the latest sudo package "sudo-1.8.6p3-29.el6_10.4.x86_64.rpm " to address this issue: https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2021:0227
subscription-manager register --username <username> --force
subscription-manager refresh
subscription-manager repos --enable=rhel-6-server-eus-rpms
yum repolist

yum search --showduplicates --disablerepo=* --enablerepo=rhel-6-server-eus-rpms sudo | grep sudo-1.8.6p3-29

Any advise?

Hi Christoph,
I've checked with my Red Hat Accelerators colleague Rick Greene, he has a RHEL 6.10 Extended Life-cycle Support (ELS)
Add-on subscription, which is what you need to receive the updates. Check if you have this specific add-on subscription. :)
subscription-manager list --available
subscription-manager attach --pool=<Pool-ID>
sudo subscription-manager repos --enable rhel-6-server-els-rpms
sudo yum update
sudo yum check-update | grep sudo
sudo.x86_64 1.8.6p3-29.el6_10.4 rhel-6-server-els-rpms

Christian

Hi Christoph,
As you have purchased a dedicated subscription, you could open a support case with Red Hat to get the problem solved. :)

To add to this, the page for the sudo vulnerability advises that RHEL 6 is getting an updated package in its ELS channel:
The RHEL 6 EUS channels are not being updated anymore.
Thank you, Jamie ! :)
