Customer reports - and I can confirm this in many circumstances, like page
reloads:
We are a paid customer and use your flowplayer component in our website.
We noticed an issue / bug.
When a video is played on a page and you navigate away from this page, the
flowplayer shows a html5 error till the new page is loaded.
Because some of our pages contain a fair amount of logic, it can take a
few seconds before the new page is loaded. During this time the page you
navigate from shows this html5 error.
The same error is also displayed at your website, but it is harder because
your website is much more responsive, see screenshot below.
Other video players act different, either stop the video or show a black
page, but certainly do not show an error.
What is the solution / workaround for this problem?
Btw, changing the content of the pages a customer is navigating to is not
an option.
According to my experience Chrome sometimes disconnects e.g. on
replay/finish/unload and webm seems also especially prone. Very hard to
make a consistent minimal sample.
Perhaps we need a window.unload handler which closes down all players.
