语法（Grammar）

Can/Can't

1. When we read the positive form of can, we quickly glid over the word and it is hardly pronounced.     #  hard  adj. 努力的 adv. 努力地；      hardly  adv.简直，几乎不

当我们读到can的肯定形式时，我们很快就会跳过这个单词，它几乎不发音。

such as :

They can come of  Friday. (Stressed words underlined)

 

On the other hand, when we read the negative from can't, we tend to stress the fact that it is the ngative form by streesing can't.

can is a modal verb            Can 是一个情态动词

it is used with other verbs to convey ideas such as possibility, permission,etc

1. talk about possiblility and ability  谈论可能性和能力
