play yuv files in ubuntu

 

.yuv is an image or video file.

1 use this command "sudo apt-get install mplayer" to install mplayer

3 if you get this error message: "Failed to open VDPAU backend libvdpau_nvidia.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

use this command to play your file: " mplayer -vo x11 -demuxer rawvideo -rawvideo w=320:h=240:format=yuy2 qvga.yuv -loop 0 "
