Description

Symptom:
Following error messages will be seen intermittently.
%PFMA-2-PS_FAIL: Power supply 2 failed or shutdown (Serial number DCBxxxxx)
%NOHMS-2-NOHMS_DIAG_ERR_PS_FAIL: System minor alarm on power supply 2: failed or not powered up
%KERN-3-SYSTEM_MSG: [44773.886323] pfm/3482 - failed to set mux addr 0x70 ch 4 err I2C_ERR_NO_RESPONSE - kernel
%NOHMS-2-NOHMS_DIAG_ERR_PS_RECOVERED: Recovered: System minor alarm on power supply 2: failed or not powered up

The recovered message usually seen there after 30 sec to 2 mins after the above messages.

The error message can be seen either for Power Supply 1 or 2.

None

Workaround:
None.

This issue is cosmetic and NOT related to hardware.
This error message is due to a transient hardware status read timeouts.

Further Problem Description:
There were couple of scenarios in which the same issue might be seen in the releases where CSCux99539 is resolved. CSCva03834 addresses these scenarios and should have complete fix.
