Hierarchy in HANA

1. Parent Child Hierarchy

     If you want to create a parent-child hierarchy, make sure the child/successor attribute's property "Principal Key" to True.

 

     For a parent-child hierarchy there is no need to define the child attribute, as you have already done so when you have specified the Principal Key of the table.

 

     If "Hierarchy Active" = "false" for non-key attribute, then the attribute will not show up in the MDX reporting tool.
