There are many forms of public transportation in Ecuador including buses, public cars, taxis and trains.
Do as the locals do and ride the bus. Urban buses can take you just about anywhere when you are in one of the country's larger cities.
Fly into any one of twelve different Ecuadorian airports. The air travel system in Ecuador is one of the best in Latin America.
Ride the train. Ecuador has a great train transportation system that can take between many points of interest.

You can often find cheap accommodations in Ecuador by looking for small inns. Small, privately owned inns will provide fewer amenities, but they offer you a lodging option at an amazingly affordable price.
Know that Bed & Breakfast establishments offer cheap accommodations for tourists. Private Bed & Breakfast establishments will offer you an affordable place to sleep, as well as a nice breakfast.
Take advantage of lodging discounts when you book a complete travel package. Many travel agencies will be able to provide you with quality accommodations at reputable hotels if you book your flights, tours, and lodging at the same time.
Pay for accommodations with your U.S. dollars. Ecuador adopted the U.S. dollar over a decade ago. They also use Ecuadorian coins.
