[不规则动词: let,let,let]许可或允许某事发生:Please let me through. They wouldn't let us take photos.

语法结构

1 let | + 名词短语 | + 动词
  Let my people go!
  Don't let the children play on the road.
  My parents never let me stay up late.
  要求、给予或拒绝许可。
  Let your arms hang loosely by your side.
  Let us know what you decide.
  给出指令或提出请求
 
2 let | + 名词状语 | + 状语
  Don't let the dog in the garden.
  Let us out!
  The police are not letting the traffic through.
  要求、给予或拒绝去某地的许可.

3 let | + myself/herself/themselves 等| + 动词/状语   
  I let myself in with the key.
  Don't let yourself be talked into something you don't want to do.

搭配
  let 与小品词连用构成短语动词:
  let someone down,表示让某人失望了.
  People are disappointed because they feel that the government has let them down.
  let someone in/out/back 表示让某人进入、离开或返回。
  let someone in on something,表示把某事的秘密告诉了某人.
  let someone off,表示放过某人,或者决定不去惩罚他/她.
  The judge let the defendant off lightly because it was her first offence.
  let on (about something) 表示泄漏了不应该泄漏的事情。
  如果某物,如雨,let up,表示它减慢速度或停止
  If the rain doesn't let up soon,the river will overflow.
 
  let和go连用,表示"松开"
