The present research develops and proposes a structured teaching model based on the thought and work of artist Paul Klee with regard to the art education of students in the middle classes of Primary School. This pedagogical and artistic proposal which is the result of a progressive action research in schools of Attica, evaluates the creative expression of students through visual arts. With the use of "colour" and "symbol" in children's drawings as methodological instruments, this research portrays Primary school as an educational context where emotional empowerment, self-expression and social activity of students flourish.
