Oracle JDK 6 版本的扩展服务期(extended support) 将于 2018 年12月结束。建议您提早考虑升级计划了。

为了能获得和同等的 Java 技术支持(包括新bug修复,安全相关更新), WLS10.3.6 的用户需要迁移到 JDK 7。

JRockit 用户也需要迁移到 Java Hotspot JDK。

Java SE 6 的扩展支持期在2018年12月结束后，为了获得技术支持, FMW 11g 用户必须升级到 Java SE 7. 在这个时间之后不会再提供Java SE 6的新bug修复,包括安全漏洞的修复补丁。即使FMW 11g 用户购买了扩展支持服务。

WLS 12.1.3 和 Java 7 的环境则不存在这个问题。因为：

WLS 12.1.3 的 Premier Support 结束时间是2017年12月，扩展支持结束时间是2019年12月。

Java 7 的 标准支持服务(Premier Support) 结束时间是2019年7月，扩展支持结束时间是2022年7月。

Java 7 的支持期比 WLS 12.1.3 的支持期长。WLS12.1.3/JDK7的用户不需要迁移到 JDK8. 事实上, 使用 WLS 12.1.3 运行FMW 产品的用户也不能升级到 JDK8, 因为只有 WLS 和 Coherence 12.1.3 和 JDK 8 是 certified。
