This project originates from my bachelor thesis in computer science at the University of Paderborn. It deals with a library for two dimensional packing problems (which arise for example in leather cutting). In addition to providing a general framework for an easy implementation of your own algorithms, the library includes several algorithms which can be used directly. Most of the implemented algorithms are based on utilization of the graphics hardware combined with simulated annealing for the packing process.
